Comet C/2008 Q3 Garradd

Example of comet observations.

Comet C/2008 Q3 Garradd was discovered on 27th of August 2008 by Gordon Garradd from Catalina Sky Survey through 0.5 m Uppsala Schmidt telescope located on Siding Spring Observatory (New South Wales, Australia).

"Pi of the sky" automatic trigger has discovered the comet passing at pictures taken at the middle of June 2009. It was found by algorithm dedicated to detection of the nova stars.

Below there are some pictures taken by us until today, which shows path of the comet through skies. Comet is in the middle of the picture unless it is near a frame border and then it cannot be inside central square.

Below there are "Pi of the Sky" images 200x200 arcmin (click at the picture to enlarge). All of them were taken during a morning scan and there are an average of 3 frames.
